Hardware Warehouse is a simple yet challenging two-dimensional game for all ages. The object is to guide boxes of hardware merchandise on a conveyor to their proper storage bins in the warehouse using path-directing lettered gates, and to advance your employment position as you do so.There are nine levels of play in each of Novice, Intermediate, Expert and Madhouse! mode. Games can be saved and reloaded.As boxes enter at the top left, the appropriate gates need to be moved to their proper horizontal or vertical position so that the boxes reach their correct destination. The UPPERCASE letters on the keyboard control the gates. When a Box reaches its correct bin, it is added to the stock bin on the right. If a box enters an incorrect bin or a gate destroys a box while changing position, the box is added to the trash bin.Gates have three "lives". If you destroy a box with a gate, the gate loses a life. If it loses all three of its lives, it becomes immobile. A new level restores gate lives in Novice and Intermediate mode; in Expert and Madhouse! mode, loss of a gate life is permanent through all levels.As you advance to each level, boxes move FASTER and are closer together. Each succeeding level also yields a smaller trash bin, a larger stock bin, and new bin locations. You win a level when you fill the stock counter, and lose the level if you fill the trash counter. If you lose a level, you have one chance to repeat that level before you are bumped down to the previous level. Expert mode does not allow second chances. Beyond Novice mode, Intermediate offers faster boxes that are closer together. Expert play features even faster boxes that are even closer together. Madhouse! varies the space Between boxes, the speed changes every few seconds and the gate are mixed up alphabetically. Don`t blame us if you go mad!
